Playing the game
You are Guybrush Threepwood, Mighty Pirate. To move around use the W-A-S-D keys or hold down the left mouse button while dragging the mouse. If you don’t want to waste time looking around at the scenery, hold the Shift key or the right mouse button while walking to start running.
Clicking on objects or people will allow you to interact with them by starting a conversation or picking them up (respectively, as Guybrush isn’t charming enough to pick up anything but objects). Items collected go into your inventory which is accessed by mousing over to the right hand side of the screen, the Tab or I keys, or the middle button on your mouse.
Sum it up
Back to Flotsam Island we go. But, before you think this is just another filler episode, there are new places to visit, new characters to interact with which are well supported by clever story and a tongue-in-cheek script, and a thickening plot. There are a lot of things to be picked up and puzzled over and a lot of dialogue to go through as you go about trying to clear Guybrush of the charges against him and make the sponge big enough to soak up all the pox. But, unlike episode 2, it doesn’t feel like a chore and it doesn’t take long to get from place to place. Even the jungle is simplified this time and you have a map to simplify it even further.
This episode is as good as the first one and watching the credits roll I am looking forward to adventuring into the final episode.
