Verdict: refreshingly irreverent
In a Nutshell: Kingdom Elemental: Tactics is a slimmed down real-time strategy focusing on unit selection and combat.
(from the game’s website)
“KE:Tactics takes core game play elements from real-time strategy, tactics, and role-playing games and combines them into a game that is painfully easy to pick up and play without committing your entire life, unless you have no life…in which case you may not find Kingdom Elemental to be an adequate substitute.”

Verdict: Steampunktastic!
In a Nutshell: This is an action/adventure meets RPG, third-person perspective game with turn-based combat about evil gods, robots that ravage tree-based produce, and those that would stop the nefarious ways of both.
(from the game’s website)
“Whether you’re a fan of the first installment or new to the series, you’ll be able to pick up and play Episode Two as a standalone experience. This time, armed with a new gardening implement and witty repartee, you rejoin Gabe and Tycho in searching for more clues and another place to live.
Explore new areas, combat bigger, badder and stranger enemies, solve even more puzzles and move one step closer to unraveling the mystery hidden deep in the sinister heart of New Arcadia.”

Verdict: simply addictive
In a Nutshell: My Tribe is a “life simulation” game with a story book element.
(from the game’s website)
“Shipwrecked on a beautiful tropical island, your brave little tribespeople must build a new home! With your guidance, the tribe will uncover mysterious secrets, research new technologies, and construct massive wonders! Come back often to feed your tribe, clothe them, and look after the babies and children!”

Verdict: cool, cool glasses
In a Nutshell: Dangeresque 3: The criminal Projective is the latest episode in the Strong Bad adventure game series.
(from the game’s website)
“You play Dangeresque, a dirty cop in pursuit of glory, justice (sort of) and big sacks of cash. When a simple job to recover a long-lost formula goes wrong, Dangeresque must save the world from the diabolical plans of an unhinged madman. Can he stay alive long enough to complete his action-packed epic? Looks like he’s gonna have to jump . . .”
