What the game gets right
In general, this was a really well-told adventure. The story was engaging, the script was hilarious and witty, and the graphics and sounds were the chocolate coating on the creamy center.

The controls were nice and simple. There’s a lot of clicking in this game but the wit makes you want to click. On everything.

The turn-based combat took a couple of encounters to get used to but then it just made sense. Using mini-games for the special attacks kept the adrenaline and anxiety going through the entire fight (which is good if, like me on occasion, you enjoy feeling like that).

Other nice bits for this game include: MC Frontalot song on the closing credits, being able to access all unlocked content after finishing the game.

What the game gets wrong
I think the only complaint I can come up with for this game is that I wished there had been a quicker way to see my inventory. Going to “the Agency” and back doesn’t feel very natural when you’re walking down the street with an encounter in sight.

Sum it up
I’ve only played a couple of turn-based combat video games before so this was a nice change of pace. I’ve been a big fan of the Penny-Arcade for a while now and this game didn’t disappoint and Hothead did a bang-up job translating Tycho and Gabe into a game.

If you haven’t at least tried the demo, head over to the greenhouse site and give it a go and come back and tell me how much fun you had, or didn’t have, playing it.

I played the demo off xboxlive twas pretty fun. Reminded me of the old Sam and Max style humor but w/ RPG elements.
