“From the co-creator of Age of Empires, Brian Sullivan, comes an all-new action role-playing game set in the mythical worlds of ancient Greece and Egypt. Amazing visuals and fast-action gameplay deliver a true cinematic gaming experience. Lush ancient world settings crafted in near-photo realistic detail provide the player with an extraordinary canvas on which to set forth on an epic quest of the ultimate good versus evil.”

What the game gets right

The graphics and music were good. Sound effects didn’t detract.

What the game gets wrong

I understand, appreciate, and encourage limited resources i.e. you can’t carry everything you find. However, making me rearrange my rucksack to put the new item in there when the space is already available makes me wonder if the game shouldn’t have been titled “Titan Quest in Packing.”

And one of these days it would be fantastic for an RPG game to actually require some real strategy instead of hack and slash clicking. Let me role play. This is where developers should stop working on their graphics and go learn from text based adventures . . .maybe develop that a bit so I can actually interact with the AI with more than “go north” or “swing stick.”

Sum it up

There’s just really nothing spectacular about this game. Some may rightly ask “Where’s the game?” and the developers would probably say something about the graphics.
